Background

Darren Ansbigian is the Founder and Managing Partner of Light Vector Capital LLC.  Prior to forming Light Vector, Darren worked as an independent consultant providing strategic advisory services for CEOs and self-funded searchers in the microcap market (<$25M TEV).  While he specialized in leveraged buyouts and recapitalizations, Darren concurrently led various special projects from the tactical levels of FP&A to complex margin optimization and end-to-end corporate development campaigns.  Before transitioning to the private sector, Darren served nearly 8 years as a Marine Corps officer, leading cross-functional teams during high profile engagements in the APAC region and Afghanistan.

Darren holds a BA from Norwich University (2012) and an MBA from the University of Southern California Marshall School of Business (2023).  He is a proud military spouse, father, and German Shepherd owner living in Southern California.

Personal Statement

Like many other warfighters who leave service, I wanted to be a business owner, but I did not know the first thing about a P&L, the sales cycle, or the cultural intricacies outside of the military.  I wanted to understand how businesses operated from the executive team down to the tactical level, so I pursued opportunities that gave me that exposure.  My mission now is to find a business where I am the best fit for them to succeed, while also preserving the reputation of the organization through the next stage of growth.
